Hi Last year birds brought us 4 stalks of corn in a long line mixed with my flowers, up against my deck.No rows, but did get one ear of corn....but no kernels.
This year in the same place I have 20 to 25 stalks of corn, plus they have grown 2x`s higher then last year. They also have tassels that have changed color from green to red.
Cut 3 tassels off of total, but have gotten more since when I counted 20 a few weeks, back. I have not gotten any cobs of corn. Why did I get one last year with only 4 stalks of corn and this year they are much better looking, have beautiful tassels, taller, many stalks,...but no cobs?
